My god, man! Look at that color. This is a pretty big change from a lot of the stuff I am used to seeing come from you. Gorgeous. How do you feel about it? I love that you are exploring the world of collage, it is rekindling some of my own love for the medium. How big are these puppies?
Not yet time for a detailed look, but land o’ Goshen, these are good. Progressively so (chronological?). In the drawings, for example, you improve in a steepening arc until the last three launch. They fly. The integration of figuration and abstraction is remarkable, and remarkably improved over the beginning. Both series show that you evolve, not jump, develop new from old. The arc of achievement is upward here, steepening as you go. I suppose you could always do better, and would want to, but these pieces are already some place great. Whooo.
